Chef Martin’s recipes are unique to Purple Plate and made with fresh Ontario ingredients. Our assortments contain something for everyone and provides for every meal occasion.

1. Food is delivered to your location in oven ready trays. Some ready for you to heat and others table-ready.
2. Full- serve option- Chef to heat the food and man the buffet. Priced by event.
3. Boxed lunches – ideal for business meetings, working lunches and conferences. Minimum 75 people details available on request.
Create your own buffet from the a la carte selection. 20 – 120 people catered for, deliveries within 50km of Collingwood FOC. Outside of this a delivery charge will be added.

My dinner party is for 10 people, all like different foods, is it a set menu or can I arrange choices?
Yes - it's no problem to arrange specific dishes when we create the menu together. I caution all clients that because I am cooking multiple dishes in a small area I cannot 100% guarantee that it's possible to segregate all foods if people have severe allergies, they are worried about.

Are the frozen meals the same as the dinner party meals?
No, the frozen meals are prepared in a large purpose-built commissary by a team of chefs. The private dining experiences are prepared with ingredients that are cooked from scratch at the location by myself.

Are the private dining experiences limited to dinners only?
No, we can arrange breakfast, lunch or dinner experiences even buffets.

Do you do longer term contracts?
This is feasible by arrangement.

Are you a qualified chef?
Yes, I worked in fine dining restaurants across Europe, owned my own restaurant, gained recognition in major guidebooks and was a Master Chef of Great Britain at 32. I have been unofficially hosting private dining experiences for over 20 years.

What about Servers, do you supply them as part of the price?
Most clients prefer a relaxed approach to the evening without a "dedicated" server. I am ably assisted by my son, who helps tend to the table. But for clients that require something more formal, I have a standby server that works with me by arrangement and for an additional cost.
